Dear Cryobanks International,
On February of this year, I gave birth to a beautiful baby girl, Kalee LaRene. Months before we had researched cord blood donation and were excited when my OB/GYN agreed to assist us in our donation process through your company. Our donation went off without a hitch thanks to your packet of information.
I know that families decide to donate cord blood for different reasons, however ours was very specific. I have an older daughter, Carriella who is 6 years old. Carriella was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes only two days before her first birthday. It is our hope that by donating Kalee's cord blood that she can help find a cure for her sister...or someone's sister. The adorable bib that you sent to us shortly after Kalee's birth is a constant reminder of this unselfish gift between two sisters. It is much too special to use, but instead is preserved with the letter in Kalee's special baby box with other mementos.
I wanted to thank you for your wonderful program and for allowing us to participate by allowing the most special gift that my two daughters may ever share. And one day, they will know and understand that it was through your company that hopefully we are one step closer to finding cures for diseases including Carriella's diabetes.
